The following work week was again slow. But, Bernice returned from her trip that week, so people showed up to the office more for work. This meant we were able to have our questions answered more efficiently and effectively. Bernice even met with each of us individually to make sure that we were satisfied with our projects and the work that we were doing.

The next weekend came around and with it, more adventures. We were able to explore Kintampo Falls, a waterfall about three hours away from Kumasi that was said to be one of the tallest in Ghana. The actual travel time ended up being about six hours each way, but the long drives were definitely worth it because the falls exceeded our expectations. The falls were incredibly magnificent, and everyone there again was incredibly friendly.

The following day, we did another day trip to a nearby butterfly sanctuary. The nature there was incredibly beautiful, and our host at the conservatory was very kind. It was hard to get to (about a two-mile drive through the forest on one of the most uneven roads I have ever seen. But, the experience again was very worth it.

That is about it for what we have been up to on our first two full weeks here in Ghana, but I will have more updates soon. So, please stay tuned!
