you make me
soften

again

i suddenly see
the sky differently

again

an unending possibility
of easy
like Sunday mornin’

and infinite mystery
again -

the formal emptiness
of liminal space
twice removed

and patiently
waiting -

recedes
at last -

at last!

there’s a whisper
of soul seeping back
into the light

of becoming

a silent ember
to a roaring fuckin’ flame

again -

and

(i suppose)

you go
about your day
hardly knowing

how powerful
you truly are.

your relentless
gentle sweetness
pointedly -

restores
a distant life
from the cold hard ashes

of the last time

maybe,
just maybe -
one more time

again -

let it be
the last time

Dedicated to a poet on Medium
whose words and support
have helped bring a worn heart
back to life

I’m out and about meeting people again after three years of almost total isolation.

Don’t stop using your words…please.
