there are a few things you forgot to take with you
when you left this all behind…
most of it’s nothing, trivial little things
that anyone might’ve easily forgotten
— but there’s something bigger you
seemed to have left with me…
those bizarre dark dreams that always kept you up at night
— those nasty frights, those twisted-twirly sights—
they’re all mine…
I’m the custodian of neon nightmares now
and not like crawling spiders or…
