I walk these shattered
streets
where neon
bleeds into twilight
the hum of wires
a heartbeat beneath
my feet

lost voices cling
to brickwork
graffiti screams
in colors loud
yet muted by time’s
ruthless passage

the city breathes
in fragments
a mosaic of broken
promises
and half-remembered dreams

I stand
at the corner of
yesterday
and tomorrow
a crossroads
of contradictions
where skyscrapers
scrape at clouds
while alleys whisper
secrets

the river flows
indifferent
carrying away
the remnants
of old stories
new beginnings
intertwined
with despair

each face I pass
a story
unfinished
eyes flicker
with hope
and resignation
a mirror
to my soul

in the cafes
philosophers sit
spinning webs
of postmodern thought
unraveling truths
to weave
new uncertainties

I am but a fragment
of this grand collage
a single thread
in the urban tapestry
seeking meaning
in the chaos
a voice
amongst the dissonance

and as the night
descends
with its velvet
embrace
I realize
we are all
fractured reflections
seeking wholeness
in a shattered world
