look at this,
he’s being preached to by a miser,
a fool who can’t even see the light of day…
you weren’t brought into this world as a favor
you aren’t indebted to your creators…
in their selfish desire to have to see more
of themselves roaming this planet
they brought you into this mess…
but you are not a burden
and should never have been treated as one
the ruin and the absurdity we find ourselves in,
they must take at least some responsibility for it —
it’s always the later generations
who pay for the sins of the former
we walked into a calamity of social disorder,
the atrocity of unappreciated labor,
forced to trade our precious time, autonomy
and privacy for a paltry means of survival
and these misers all around us have the gall
to say we don’t care, that we’re lazy
and irresponsible, with our heads in the clouds,
and frivolous in our pursuits of pleasure…
so fucking what if we seek pleasure
so fucking what if we want to feel alive
with what little sour life we have
we are not wastrels
we simply know how to read the room
we understand the gravity of the moment
