my medium saw me —
you can play with fire
you can dance with fire
flirt, create, cast spells
release in effigy
you can witness its power —
even holding fire
guiding others with your lantern
is allowed
but you must never
go all the way in
at the crossroads —
I skipped rocks over lava
said I’d follow you across hot coals
cooling down is a tough task
there’s still smoke in the ashes
while I learn about boundaries
you're here, Soul Shine
we’re here again
to bring the light
to let the winds change
