Leisure Corrupts
What is not transactional? That is the question.
What made to be hidden
Forbid to be found by mankind
Its unknown preserves it's magical
Separates from the dullness
of clock in, clock out, keyboard clicking
and its repetitiveness
Endless mankind's ego
interferes environment's equilibrium
Yet… in the name of area development
would make a perfect rationalization
Trucks in the age of dinosaurs
were forced to transport heavyweight materials
damaged fragile road that connects villages
and it's the only main road on the island
Soothing green paddy rice fields
transform into vegan restaurants
Comforting sandy beach
converts to a party scene
How much money can ever feed greediness?
Politeness is inheritance
framed the character of the village
inevitable to be overused beyond its purpose
Smiling faces entangle potential earnings
A hello worth of currency
Yet… what is not a transactional? That is the question.
It’s a win-win solution
The native gets to cultivate
cultured everyday life
The tourist gets to collect
Instagram posts
from a remote exotic island
All is foreign
it’s gives the sensation
It’s a short break
for a once in a lifetime experience
tomorrow is unknown
So better make the best out of it
Splurge savings from a lifetime of work
Supply and demands met. Once again.
Thirst for a piece of mind
is being exploited
funding supply generator
from mother nature
