what was it for you
in this modern world to traverse
yet bear an old soul
seeking depths in a shallow sea
how many times it broke your heart
how many times did you piece it back together
honey
we may remain worlds apart
this poem may never meet your eyes
but I need to confess...
i haven’t fallen–
that’s for the dreamers
i’ve been adrift
irrevocably lost in you
completely profoundly hopelessly
for a love like this
i’ve never known before
you’ll never know the depth of my longing
but perhaps one day our worlds will collide
and I’ll rest my head on your chest
feeling the wildfire of a love untamed
