Love-Bomb

Honesty blurts out the lingering truth,
That life is ever-changing
But still you refuse.

You say you love me, what does that even mean?
When your actions speak clear.
Love is to act, not carcass words,
Your actions show no respect
No will to transform.

You choose when to love, and love inappropriately,
I don’t choose to love, I love necessary.

You stay relentlessly in your desires, wild and intense,
Your dreams for a simpler world
With timeless time to reflect.
I understand you, but love does not control
Nor possess

Love has no demands
But your love, an explosion always on time
Full of spectrum and reverb
Impatient, harsh and unkind.

Stop love-bombing me with empty words.
I’m not your property, I don’t belong to you
To discard as you please,
See me, or watch me go.

The fear of abandonment and the deep human desire to be needed and wanted.

Thanks for reading!
