she said, you’re lucky I think you’re hot
because you do some weird shit…
ennui…
isn’t that what’s in ketchup?
no, umami, that’s like the flavor of ketchup
yeah, I’m a little offbeat
but what can I say
that’s just how I am
I’m the kind of guy who sits when he pees
what? sometimes you’re tired and you
don’t feel like standing, or it’s dark
and you don’t have your glasses on…
just ask Larry David, he’ll tell you…
so what if you catch me rubbing lotion
on my feet — it’s part of my daily routine
I sleep without clothes
and I need every single light OFF
and I drown my eggs in ketchup,
see, there’s that ketchup again,
bet you never read a poem that mentions
the word ketchup five times…
and I leave the tea bag in my tea
— but yah, I’d rather be drinking coffee,
but that’s another conversation…
it’s just how I am —
I run away at the sight of bees
I prefer food shopping at night
when no one is there
I write down my dreams
I’ll do anything my cat asks of me
and virtually nothing any human does
I violate social conventions,
I avoid small talk like the plague
I dislike the idea of thank you notes,
RSVPs, and save the dates
like, how do you save dates anyway?
do you put them in your pocket?
I’d rather eat prunes
and that’s not saying much…
I have never used an organizer or a calendar
and if you buy me those page-a-day ones
I’ll peel off the first week and then never
touch it again…
to-do-lists are for suckers…
