plunge

take a deep breath
feel the air fill your lungs

it’s moving inside you now

you can’t stop it

25 sextillion molecules are swarming inside of you to create the perfect canvas for your survival

your breath knows where the lungs are
you don’t have to do anything

The oxygen from the air you breathe in keeps you alive
while you are venting
crying
loving
smiling
walking
fretting
cooking
or lying in a state of rapture or melancholia

it pumps the same
it has no bias
no regret
no shame
no judgment

it doesn’t matter what mood you’re in
you breathe in life whether you want to or not

the silence between your breath
and the plunge of your next move is inevitable

it’s out of your control

let go

it’s okay
