Revamp The Vampire
Urging human beings to cease eating/sucking on one another and live on own energy and doing instead (Poem)
Vampires
#socially networking,
drinking
people’s juices,
minutes,
years.
Exhaling clichés,
airs,
flat banalities,
fanfares.
To fill in
blackholes,
cavities, depravities.
But hey!, mate -
shows always backfire.
Empty, bare,
complacent claws of copycats
with glossy, greasy, glassy faces
- beggared souls -
stalk on another’s verve and vigors-
is
much too predatory,
way too narcissistic.
Is enough!
You’d better
wake
one morning
and plain expend the day.
One single day —
and fuel it on own
energy and vibe.
Wash a face,
make food —
and even grow it.
Go out,
repair shoes.
Or wounds,
or chairs.
Teach someone a skill,
train them a sport.
Build a house
or plant a tree —a seed!
Raise a child or two
but be right present -
providing care, spirit,
flair.
Think your thoughts.
Extend your piece of mind.
Clean up your room.
Compose
your
being.

Intrinsic value
peeps out shily
from the depths
of every living person’s life.
Lay out yours.
Supply,
devote
and warmly greet a stranger.
Stretch a seething,
yet a dormant - muscle, lend a hand.
Regain your senses.
Shed the masquerade.
Breathe out.
Grow back a heart.
Become alive again.
Unvamp the vampire.
