I forgot from which literary magazine I stole this poster.

I am doomed
Because of the ants
I tortured when I was
A kid and when
Noons got long and
Boring at summer.

I am doomed
Because of every ant
I ever trailed
On the table legs
Or the chimney corners
Or the floor tiles,
Every ant I
Tracked
And tortured
And executed.

I am doomed
Because of all the
Ants I tortured for
No reason.
