Unfinished love

Our love story was left unfinished,
A tale of what could have been.
We had it all, or so it seemed,
But life had other plans.

We met and fell in love at first sight,
Our passion burning bright.
We dreamed of a future together,
But that dream was not meant to be.

We were torn apart by circumstance,
Forced to go our separate ways.
We tried to keep the flame alive,
But the distance proved too great.

Our love was strong, but it wasn’t enough,
To conquer the miles that lay between.
We said our goodbyes with tears and stuff,
Our hearts heavy with what could have been.

But even though our love was not meant to be,
I will always cherish the memories.
The love we shared will always be a part of me,
An unfinished love story, but one that will always be.
