saw you

fell on my face

just there
i saw you standing
unaware and out your head
presenting there so presently
intently in the center
with the room around your wrist

i sprained mine

caught a pinkie on the air
and just thinking of approaching
got all twisted up
staying stood at equal distance
and just close enough to notice that your
head it tilts like mine

but mine is whiplash

jerked it walking
while i turned and thwapped my knee
limping up to you
with poise
and actually, it’s fine
i’m fine

i’m just distorted

i think its all this spinning
index finger first, felt like a beckon
and i really hope it was
because i’m here now and the room is still
and then
i catch your eye

i scratched your eye

so seamlessly i turn
i trip
and fall onto my face.
