ScyNet one of the 10 Startup pitch finalists
ScyNet was selected among hundreds of blockchain and AI startups to pitch in front of established entrepreneurs and savvy investors from the AI/Blockchain space. Our 3-minute presentation on main stage will start at exactly 1:30 PM (local time) on May 23rd.
We know the AI startup contest will feature many other talented teams with exciting projects, so we expect fierce competition. Hopefully, we’ll be able to replicate our CEE Block success from last year!
Todor Kolev, chairman of the Coop, will be the one to present ScyNet on stage. He’ll be accompanied by four other Comrades in Malta — ScyNet developer Bojidar Marinov, business strategist Anastas Mateev, marketer Peter Katarov, as well as a Wetonomy delegate, in the face of Vlad Gerov.
The Coop will also have its own ScyNet booth in the Startup village in Hilton hotel where the summit will take place. If you are going to the event, be welcome to swing by and say hi!
The Blockchain Island
Taking place on May 23–24, this will be the second edition of the Malta AI & Blockchain summit. It is widely anticipated and many refer to it as one of the hottest crypto venues in the calendar… Why Malta, though?
The Maltese government has been proactively working to set up a blockchain-stimulating legal framework. Their goal is to make the small country attractive for companies from the sprouting crypto area. It started with the passing of three regulatory bills in 2018, and this year Malta will build on with a fourth unprecedented act, giving Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs) their own legal personality.
This gives us an even stronger reason to attend the Summit (like we needed one!), as both the Comrade Coop and its child projects, ScyNet and Wetonomy, are strongly based around the DAO concept.

Although we didn’t win the pitch contest, we found the summit very productive. We talked with many peers from the blockchain community, interested in the ScyNet project. And we’re already exploring opportunities for partnerships.
