Crack Microsoft Azure AZ-900 in 2 days !!
If you’re in the endgame and you need a win you’ve come to the right page!!
I gave my exam in June 2020 and I got a 900/1000 by following this technique.
You’ll have to commit a little extra to pass or get a high score, with a few hours in hand.
Let’s get one thing straight this exam isn’t tough at all !! You just need the right approach to crack it.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate a fundamental knowledge of cloud concepts, as well as Azure services, workloads, security, privacy, pricing, and support. Also, you should be familiar with concepts of networking, storage, compute, application support, and application development. (Refer Microsoft official website)
You can get a lot of free materials online, but that’s usually an information overload and how do you even know that has the right answers !!
Mindset
If you’re starting your exam prep at ground zero I recommend you,
Make sure while you’re preparing you to have your notebook with you so that you can take your notes and mark your mistakes down.
That’s all I did!!
Exam Outline and Syllabus
You can check the Syllabus here.
As mentioned before a lot isn’t expected of you here, just the basic understanding would do.
- Describe Cloud Concepts (15–20%)
- Describe Core Azure Services (30–35%)
- Describe Security, Privacy, Compliance, and Trust (25–30%)
- Describe Azure Pricing, Service Level Agreements, and Lifecycles (20- 25%)
Study Material
These are the two basic options for you to get acquainted with the course requirements. I’d suggest the latter one.
Microsoft Learning Path (9+hrs of Reading, Free)
Udemy Course (3hrs of Video Lectures, Simple & just enough for the exam, 1 practice test and less than 10$) — Highly Recommended
You’re probably looking at this article right now because you’re in time-crunch and, to be honest, you don’t need to remember the entire documentation from Microsoft. The video lectures will be worth it as it doesn’t overload you with information, it gives you what is required for the exam.
Suggestion:- When you go through the video lectures just make a few notes so that you can also remember what you read and it will come in handy when you have to revise the concepts before the exam.
If you make the notes and go through the videos it should not take more than 5 hours to finish with the basic reading requirements for the course.
Once you’re down with that let’s move to the best part.
Practice Test
I believe that the best way to be prepared for this exam is to practice a lot of tests, I practised about 15 tests. To be true though a lot of the questions that I practised had a lot of overlapping questions. Having given those I can surely recommend you 2 practice dumps that will be enough for getting you through the exam and if you made sure that you remembered all of the questions that you practised I can guarantee you a score of min 800.
If you know your mistakes and don’t repeat them you automatically increase your accuracy.
Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) — Practice Tests
Every other free dump that I found online had ambiguous explanations to the questions asked however this has simple and precise explanations which are easy to understand and remember.
There are 5 Questionnaires (185 Questions, taking no longer than 25 mins per test) here and you should keep attempting them and trying again till you get a minimum of 85%+ score in each test. Its okay if you flunk in these tests in your first attempt the important part is to remember your mistakes and not repeat them.
Certbolt FREE !! AZ-900 Test
I can not emphasise how important this test it. My certification exam had 85% of the questions from this test.
It encapsulates the experience of the entire test with exact questions that will be asked in the test.
Drag Drop Questions, Multiple Choice Questions and Trick question. Certbolt test has 167 practice questions which will take you 45 mins to finish.
The trick for the exam day,
Rate yourself Low in survey that you give to Microsoft before the test, Thank me later.
Conclusion
So what do we have here,
5 hrs of Learning the course material, 1.5hrs of Udemy Practice test and 45 mins of Certbolt test. That’s a total of 7hrs 15mins of total prepping.
That’s one day of prepping and learning and on the day of the exam, you just need to revise your mistakes from your practice test. Remember you need jot down your mistakes on a notebook while you’re practising the test.
