The first UN World Data Forum has concluded. Earlier this week, statisticians, global leaders, and other key-stakeholders met in Cape Town, South Africa, to discuss innovations and challenges in data for Sustainable Development, including the Sustainable Development Goals. Here are the ways you can catch up on everything.

Videos of panels and events

Many sessions from the Forum were live streamed on YouTube, and are now available on the UN Data Forum website and UNStats official YouTube channel.

The Cape Town Global Action Plan

The Forum opened to the launching of the Cape Town Global Action Plan for Sustainable Development Data to provide a framework for discussion around national statistical capacity for the remainder of the Forum. The Plan will be officially approved by the UN Statistical Commission at its 48th session in March.

International Institute for Sustainable Development Reporting

IISD is one of our favorite resources for consistent reporting and summary of events regarding the UN and the SDGs. Their coverage of the 1st UN World Data Forum was thorough and in-depth.
