1.Project Breakthrough, a partnership between the United Nations Global Compact and Volans, has been profiling disruptive technologies, creating Disruptive Technology Executive Briefs intended to help businesses and organizations understand how new technology could help them advance the Sustainable Development Goals. Their ‘Big Data’ profile provides example applications of Big Data for the SDGs, potential barriers to adoption for companies and organizations, and technical considerations.

2. From Geospatial World, this article provides a solid argument for the role of open data and geospatial data to achieve the Global Goals. The value of open data could be as high as $3 trillion a year globally, creating greater efficiency in health, education, water, and agriculture sectors.

3. The Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) announces the U.S. Cities SDG Index. This Index ranks the 100 largest cities in America by performance on 49 indicators from 16 of the 17 SDGs. The SDSN also co-produces the Global SDG Index.
