Global Goals Week is halfway through. While the UN General Assembly has dedicated today to a high level discussion on Antimicrobial Resistance, a number of data and philanthropy events continue as part of the UNGA and the Global Compact’s Private Sector Forum.
International Conference on Sustainable Development- #ICSD2016
This annual event, launched by the Global Association of Master’s in Development Practice Programs and the Sustainable Development Solutions Network in 2013, is being held in NYC alongside the UNGA today and tomorrow, September 22nd, 2016. The aim of the conference is to share evidence-based solutions that can support the Sustainable Development Goals.
Convergence: Philanthropy and the SDGs- #PhilSDGs
This one day event, held today until 2pm, is hosted by the Ford Foundation in NYC, blocks from the UN building. This event captures the conversation around the philanthropic sector’s role in sustainable development, and the importance of foundations and the private sector in filling data gaps.
