Pocket Premium supports full-text search now

It is great to hear that Pocket now supports full-text search, though it is in the premium version. The following is quoted from its introduction:

Find anything with fast, powerful full-text search that looks up content by topics, tags, authors, keywords, and more.

It is absolutely more powerful than SearchPocket. With this feature builtin to the app, I think it could bring a better user experience. I don’t upgrade to the premium version because SearchPocket is good enough for myself.

There were some users stated they would pay for a full-text search feature in Pocket’s feature request page. From the log of SearchPocket, users don’t search frequently. I myself use it every few days or weeks. Pocket have a broader user base than SearchPocket. Hopefully, it will give some statistics of how often users search their links saved months ago.

Another feature in its premium version is Permanent Library. In SearchPocket, there are 6% out of 120,000 links are already dead. I think this feature has some potential.

Someone says read it later means never read it. The key question to success is whether users really need to find back their links months ago and how often they do.
