Checklists are considered to be very powerful tools that can be used to improve performance. Creating a good checklist will not only save time but will also come in handy and easy to use in difficult situations.

It will show you where to start and how to go about it. Some stages in
preparing a checklist are as follows:

  1. Design Strategy: The first step would be to build a plan and formulate a strategy that makes it easy to set up and use.
  2. Build up a team: The next step is to build up a team that would be able to oversee the entire administration including content management and technical areas as well. If necessary, a team leader may be appointed.
  3. Set a time limit: Set up a time schedule or a deadline before which the work is to be completed.
  4. Set goals: Have clear- cut goals that you can focus on. Every organization has a different set of goals and a different way of operation.
  5. Carry out a test: Check if everything is going on as planned. Get necessary feedback and record glitches if any. See to it that every person of the team has a role to play to aid the smooth operation of the team.
  6. Live Training: Training should be imparted to employees about software, navigation, customer interaction, preparing of reports, etc.
  7. Check Technical details: Review the hardware, software, check the servers, electricity lines, help desk lines, WiFi connectivity, speed of the internet, etc. Also keep a tab if the staff are ready to take on their new roles.
  8. Project Closure: After launching the software, the project manager will do a complete checklist to see if all the project reports are ready, if the project review is complete and the staff performance evaluation reports are ready.

Successful implementation requires a lot of preparatory work. The
ultimate design is for the organization to decide. However, it is
good to keep it simple and avoid too many complicated features
as the best websites are the ones that maintain a plain, simple
and elegant design.
