Get to Know Your Scapes!
Seascape is rapidly becoming an industry leader in the NFT space. In just a few months, there are now over seven thousand NFT holders out and that number is growing every day. The Cryptosphere is increasingly demonstrating that it has exceptional taste! But do you really know all there is to know about Scapes? Let’s explain a bit more detail about how Scapes come to be.
Scapes have 3 different aspects to them that users will need to be familiar with: character, quality, and generation. In the future, this may change, but for now these are the most important vectors of variance all Scapes have in common. We will look at each in turn.
Character — There are several characters in the Seascape universe. In the initial wave, the world was introduced to Thump, Trixie, Quicksand, Armstrong, and Mercy. Thump is a lovable outdoorsy giant, and a counterpoint to the other strong man, Armstrong — both of whom are as gentle as kittens. Quicksand is the affable mad scientist hellbent on capitalizing on the greatest number of crowns possible. Finally, are the two lovely ladies, Trixie and Mercy, both known for their allure.
Quality — Each character has 5 different qualities, visible by the frames which highlight them. There’s Common, Special, Rare, Epic, & Legendary. Each level is significantly rarer than the one before. Rarity corresponds to their power and value both within the Seascape ecosystem — how they can be used in games — as well as their value on various DEXes.
Generation — Seascape generations start with zero and move up as the platform advances. More games are created, or have later seasons, and the in-game rewards will vary by season. Later games and seasons will give higher generation levels (gen 1, gen 2, etc). As a general rule of thumb, the lower the generation, the higher the value of the Scape. So the earlier you are in on the action, the more valuable your Scape is!
These values together will have a multitude of uses, including in Seascape’s most recent NFT-focused game, Staking Saloon. In this game, users can stake different combinations of Scapes in exchange for Crowns rewards. The various values of combinations are determined by the aforementioned traits.
