Seascape ft. Happy Land AMA Recap

We are happy to have the AMA session with Happy Land yesterday on their Discord. Our Brand Manager, Sandile Numa, was there to answer everyone’s questions and let more people know about Seascape and our projects.

Here are some highlights from the AMA session:

Sandile: Hello, my name is Sandile Numa, based out of South Africa and I am the Brand Manager of Lighthouse for Seascape Network.

Seascape is a gaming platform based around DeFi and NFT economies. By turning the core concepts of DeFi into easy-to-access games, Seascape lowers the bar of complexity linked with DeFi and crypto more generally.

Lighthouse is our IDO platform that helps launch Defi game projects, both for internal and third-party projects.

The Seascape is meant to represent the uncharted potential of gaming across the vast blockchain ocean. We aim to be a wave of DeFi sweeping across the vastness of the world. To see a beautiful seascape is to be in awe of its majesty and wonder. It’s also to see limitless possibilities. We want to bring that beauty to our users.

The main motivation behind Seascape and our broader ecosystem is to help educate as many people about the power of blockchain and DeFi through gaming projects. For example, we have a few games like Staking Saloon, which is a game in which users stake Scapes, Seascape’s original NFTs, in exchange for Crowns, Seascape’s universal token, Through a game, our users are exposed to NFT’s, Staking, and cryptocurrency.

Seascape Network is a multi-faceted DeFi brand & ecosystem. The main parts are: A portfolio of Play-2-Earn & DeFi Games that offer exciting and fun ways to engage in liquidity pools and NFT / token reward farming using our “Scapes” NFTs system. We are super proud of our latest IDO launch for a game called Moonscape which is currently in closed beta phase.

At Seascape we try to apply basic economics when designing in-game tokenomics so we can balance rewards, rates of rewards, burning of tokens and NFTs.

As the entire DeFi gaming industry, we are trying to be relevant to the traditional gaming audience and there is a need to be great for gamers, first. There are many monotonous games and eventually, gamers lose interest.

A good game mechanic that evolves over time is important. The other crucial part is the game economy, there needs to be a balance. We can’t just be constantly giving out rewards and hoping this will entice players, eventually, this backfires.

In the near future, the next big thing would be metaverse crossovers where projects will share their assets with other projects and these assets will have utility in both projects, that would be the true metaverse. At Seascape, we are also transitioning into bigger types of games, so watch this space.
