Getting to the Nitty Gritty Part 3!

Seascape Network has completed the last of its three AMAs it has scheduled for November. This time We were fortunate to link up with our friends from the Vietnamese Bitcoin Community. As always, it was a great success, and for that we’re very grateful to all our fans and those who are taking their first peaks at our up and coming platform. Since we had a few questions overlapping from the previous two AMAs, here we’ll collect the new information. Click here for our first November AMA and here for our second. We hope you have as much fun learning about the platform as we have creating it!

How will you manage the project and token to gain a place in the market and become a top token in the blockchain world?

Our team has been working on blockchain games for the last few years and is dedicated to building a future where gamers and developers are both incentivized for their contributions. With everything we do, our focus is on building better and better products and improving them based on feedback.

The fact that we have been around so long, forged the partnerships we have, and kept delivering excellent games and innovative smart contracts despite the market conditions of 2018/2019 says a lot about us and shows our commitment to the future of the Seascape Network.

What are some of your coming milestones in 2020 and beyond?

The first step of our launch will be to release the Seascape game platform, which will host our core strategy game, BLOCKLORDS, as well as 3 brand new DeFi mini-games which will provide great opportunities for our users to earn. This will all be released on the Ethereum mainnet; while transaction fees are high, most of the value is still there for our users to grab.

Following the launch of the Seascape platform, we will begin our transition to Substrate in 2021. It will begin with a new random number generator developed on Substrate, which will offer a unique decentralized product for other dapp developers in the polkadot ecosystem.

We will also release a host of other games, both developed by our own studio and other partners we have made partnerships with. All projects associated with Seascape will use Crowns as the core token for value transfer.

What role do developers play in the Seascape Network ecosystem? What are the incentives for developers to create unique derivatives markets?

Game designers and developers are highly encouraged to join our platform. In the short term, we can help devs implement Crowns payment method into their games and grow users and revenue together with us. Next year, we will provide DeFi gameplay SDK, so devs can easily use it to add DeFi gameplay into their game.

If you are a game dev and want to join us, please do not hesitate to email us: info@seascape.network and we will be back to you ASAP.

What is the greatest satisfaction that your community has given you? What makes you most proud of the Seascape community?

The strength of the community is the main reason why we wanted to build the Seascape Network; we want to create a game platform where the player is truly rewarded for the time they spend in games. This is at the core of what we hope to achieve in the coming years.

We are a serious team that has been in the blockchain space since 2017, and whenever we have received a grant from a protocol, we have always delivered and launched a product on that protocol. We are the only team that has successfully launched a DAPP on Ethereum, Tron, NEO, Icon, Loom and Matic network.

We have also partnered up with teams such as MakerDAO, Chainlink, Dappradar and more. We believe this strong track record speaks for itself and that while we can’t control how the token price goes up or down in the short term, we will do everything we can to put out better and better products and provide long term value to all of our holders!

What makes Seascape NFTs special? Why does the user need to collect them?

First, we will release ERC-721 NFTs when we launch our platform and first few DeFi games, as it’s based on Ethereum. Our NFTs are marked by generation and concept, and are drawn with great care. These Gen-0 Seascape NFTs can only be collected from the very first 2 DeFi games. You can stake these NFTs in our NFT staking game to get a Crowns rewards. Likewise you can explore different combinations to get bonus for Crowns rewards. We will keep Seascape NFTs generating high value, and create more and more gameplay around it.

What makes it difficult for businesses to adopt blockchain technology? What aspects of Seascape overcome these challenges?

Having worked with most of the top 20 chains out on the market, we can say with confidence that most developer tools for blockchains are painfully inadequate. There is a huge learning curve for any given smart contract protocol, and the developer tools and environments are incredibly hard to set up. This is the main reason why ethereum is so popular, because other chains are basically impossible to work with.

With Seascape, we plan to change all of that. By releasing a clear and well-documented set of SDKs, we plan to make game developers able to tokenize their projects in a much clearer and easier way than anything that is currently available. Our past experience releasing games on multiple chains makes us experts in this matter.

What are the consequences of claiming a staked NFT?

When claiming rewards from an NFT, that NFT will have to be burned. This is to create a balance in the price of Crowns and our NFTs. You can claim Crowns, but you need to burn NFTs. You can also create new NFTs, but you will have to spend Crowns (which are then redistributed via Paywave). This is a balancing act that we believe will add value to the Seascape Network while also adding engagement.

What chains can be connected to Seascape?

We are on Ethereum for the launch. By 2021, however, we will have more development progress on Polkadot (Such as our own Random Number Generator). Our long term goal is to build our platform on Polkadot and connect to different chains with our own bridge. So players can export assets to whatever blockchain they like.

Wrap Up

This concludes our November Ask Me Anything right here at the Seascape network. We’d like to thank our partners in these endeavors. Not only do these help us get information to our players, but it helps us create our platform in a way that is clear, transparent, and helpful, allowing us to grow in the direction that our players most need. Stay tuned for further information!
