Today I visited Gwaneumsa Temple again. It was so calm and beautiful. When I started walking, I could feel my mindfullness. Despite walking on the same course as last week, a new gaze opened around every corner again.

When I arrived at the stairway in front of Nahanjeon, I saw smoke coming out of the chimney of the brazier and I heard people’s voices. I climbed the stairs and found a monk and a woman preparing something. There was a cat under the brazier. I took pictures of the landscape, but they didn’t care about me.

I turned around. The northern sea of Jeju spread out before my eyes. Jeju consists of one large volcanic mountain called Hallasan, So every land has a slope, which makes an optical illusion as if the ocean is on the ground. The sea and sky are sometimes indistinguishable. It seems like ships are flying on the sky. At night, there is no zone boundary between ship light and star light.

As I walked down, I found a small flower between the stairs. Today I got my mindfulness like that flower.
