Quick Shoot? I gotchu!
The Overview
The goal of this assignment was to create a two to three wireframes and one detail mock-up for the app idea I came up with. I decided to create 2–3 wireframes for an app call PicMe which is basically an app where photographers can see models accounts and connect to do photoshoots. This app is an app for business inquiry.
The Context and Challenge
For this assignment, students were asked to create wireframes and a mockup for an app idea that they came up with. The reason why I did PicMe is that I wanted an app that photographers can easily find models to do shoots with and also an app that models can easily promote himself. The struggles that I had with creating the wireframes is that I really had difficulty making sure that my grids were proper and that everything was aligned. Another thing that I had trouble with is that I had way too many ideas for my app that sometimes I had to restart because I put way too many details on my mockup.
The Process and Insight
Once I came up with my app idea I had decided to look through some of the apps and look how they have their flaws. I chose to make a simple app that will be easy for photographers. I chose to go with a simple color layout but for my logo, I decided to put a camera icon because I wanted to throw a hint that this app has a theme of photography. I also tried to make my fonts unique and specialized for that my app users can read easily.
The Solution
I solved the problem with aligning everything by using the grids and making sure that I got feedback from my classmates when they saw my mockup. Another solution that I had is that I made sure to also ask that if my app looked easy to use which my classmates did say yes to my question.
The Result
I was really happy with the ending result of my wireframes and my mockup because I really believe I got a lot of people’s opinions and I really made sure that my app was easy to understand even without me having to say anything. Like every assignment, it has its ups and downs but I’m glad its done now.
