Looking to reduce the noise from your electronic drums but can’t afford Roland’s Noise Eater pads? You can in fact make a DIY alternative at a fraction of the price!

Roland Noise Eater mats are pretty expensive coming in at around £80 per mat and £25 for each foot. To isolate a bass drum and hi-hat you’d need five feet and two or three mats depending if use single or double pedals, costing up to £365 for the full set. The method below cost me £57 for all the materials to do exactly the same thing!
