Few Simple Guidlines and Rules

We encourage you to be authentic and avoid copying others’ styles, as this limits your creativity. Here are a few basic guidelines to keep in mind:

  1. Your writing must not violate Medium Rules.
  2. Ensure your writing follows Medium Quality Guidelines and Partner Program Guide.
  3. Your story aligns with our mission of exposing false, biased, or misleading information that misinforms the public using selective facts.
  4. Avoid promoting or hyping a product or company. You may mention or cover stories about innovative products or companies, but only if they support the overall narrative or research, and you clearly disclose any biases.
  5. Use custom links under Advanced Settings for cleaner, more effective story URLs.
  6. Your story should have a read estimate of at least 4 minutes and include a featured image that complements the content. Consider using Unsplash for free images (available through Medium’s toolbar).

How to Submit Your Completed Draft?

  1. Ensure your submission remains unpublished on Medium (still in draft form) by sharing the draft link with us.
  2. If you’re part of Medium’s Partner Program (MPP), consider setting your submission to metered, so you’re eligible for compensation. The MPP is the only way to get paid as a writer on Medium.
  3. Include five topics in your submission, and ensure that at least one aligns with the topics listed in the Scope section above.
