Under the tagline “eat to be happy”, this tavern in the heart of the city stands out for the quality of the food and the creative proposal of its menu.

The well-known Catalan chef David Reartes, based in Ibiza, pays homage to the traditional tapas “de toda la vida”, as well as presents innovative recipes in his restaurant, located minutes walk from the port and the centre. Together with the Ibizan businessmen Jordi Cardona and Joan Planells, David Reartes opens this space to enjoy with all the senses, in an informal and fun atmosphere, where the kitchen is open so we can witness the great work of David and his team.

In the menu, there are traditional tapas like ham croquettes, “patatas bravas”, Andalusian squid, a dish of Iberian ham or Ibizan sobrassada, and other more creative — and quite surprising — like the “reverse egg with creamy potato skin and sobrassada” or the low-fat, smoked loin “Café de París”.

Re.Art uses local and seasonal products. From its own orchard in summer they pick tomatoes, eggplants, peppers… In autumn the figs and pickles are back, and the winter is spoon time… This way, each season marks the rhythm of the menu. And when it comes to pairing, you can have a fresh beer or a good wine, like the “Cocinillas”, a blend of Syrah and Garnacha made by David himself in collaboration with Bodega Jiménez Landi.

If you are in town, pass by and check it out. Open all year round from Monday to Saturday, it’s a great option to enjoy this urban feeling for a little while…

Carrer Castilla, 9, Ibiza.
