Secret Africa partners with Cryptocurrency Academy Kenya to drive and foster Web3 and blockchain mass adoption through specialized education for interested individuals and organizations across Africa.
Community Partners and Speaker at Techies Meet And Greet, Nigeria.
In January 2023, Secret Network Agents Mmerichukwu and Chimerier spoke and were present at the Techies Meet and Greet University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
Educational Workshop at Bayero University Kano State in Partnership with National Association of Information and Technology Students BUK Chapter: An interactive workshop introducing and educating students and faculty members on the basics of blockchain, Web3, and privacy, and how they can get involved and benefit from Secret Network. The workshop was well-attended and well-received, and we received positive feedback and interest from the participants.
Blockchain Africa Conference South Africa 2023
Secret Network Africa was present at the Blockchain Africa Conference in Johannesburg South Africa, hosted by Bitcoin Events. Popeblack and Luke spread the word about Secret and Web3 privacy, networking, and generating leads.

The Secret Network Africa launched a Validator node on SecretNetwork as part of its commitment to community development which channeled 30% of the validator’s commission toward the growth of Secret Network Africa.

The strategic partnership between Secret Network Africa and Equality Builders NFT Collection, is a collaboration aimed at empowering and educating people across Africa. This partnership harnesses the transformative potential of Web3 and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) to bridge the digital divide and promote inclusivity, while also championing the need for privacy and data sovereignty on the continent
Cybertech Africa 2023, held at the Kigali Convention Centre in Rwanda, Secret Network Africa Lead made a presence and joined a panel session at the summit, the public was educated about Blockchain technology and securing cryptocurrencies. Hosted by CybertechGlobal and National Cyber Security Authority, Rwanda. Over 1500 attendees were present at this event.
The Web3 Lagos Conference 2.0, Lagos Nigeria is recognized as one of the largest Web3 events in Nigeria. This event aimed to drive blockchain adoption and enhance its understanding for all. Secret Network Africa Lead gave a Keynote session at the event on The Timeline and Design of Web3 privacy.
The Simplified Decentralized Future
The Simplified Decentralized Future is a 14-day Virtual event providing participants with the knowledge and skills to thrive in the decentralized future. Covering blockchain, Web3, DeFi, NFTs, Gaming, Career Opportunities, AI, DAOs, and more, the series offers theoretical learning and hands-on activities. Participants engage in simulated activities, explore Web3 Ecosystems, and discover what Web3 unlocks. Attendees gain a comprehensive understanding of the Web3 ecosystem, practical skills, insights into Secret Network, Blockchain, Web3, and networking opportunities.

Secret Network Africa partnered with JCI Nigeria BUK, Mastering Digital Excellence (MADE) to help transit trainees from Web2 to Web3!
This collaboration focuses on educating participants on blockchain, smart contracts, DeFi, NFTs, and other Web3 technologies through workshops and mentorship. This collaboration not only prepares individuals for the future but also fosters technological empowerment and innovation in Africa.
The Digital Asset Summit in Abuja, Nigeria, held in September, focused on engaging policymakers and industry stakeholders in shaping the future of the blockchain industry. Secret Network Africa lead, a speaker at the event, delivered an excellent talk and moderated a panel on the readiness of the current financial system to embrace emerging technologies.
Web 3 Carnival marked the end of the year with celebrations and reflections on the advancements in Web3. Secret Network Africa Lead was present to close the year with a privacy talk. A fantastic year for the blockchain community!

Africa Blockchain Summit, an annual event hosted in Ghana, brings together experts, entrepreneurs, blockchain, and crypto enthusiasts to discuss the latest trends, developments, and opportunities in Africa’s emerging blockchain ecosystem. Held in October, the event featured the Secret Network Africa lead as one of the speakers, addressing the global need for the adoption of privacy.

This is a weekly Twitter space hosted by Pope Black alongside another co-host, Raheem (Secret Agent), where they keep everyone up to date with activities happening on the Secret Network Ecosystem. The space covers the latest news, developments, and announcements of Secret Network, as well as the upcoming events, opportunities, and challenges. The space also features Q&A sessions, where the hosts answer questions from the listeners and address their concerns and feedback.

In celebration of the growth achieved in 2023, we are starting 2024 off with a special bounty just for the Africa community that participates in Hack Secret 2024 , the first hackathon series of Secret Network in 2024!
Winning hackathon teams from the Africa community are eligible to win an additional $2,000, so we are excited to see what the community submits!
Our active involvement in events, spaces, podcasts, strategic partnerships, etc, showcases their commitment to spreading the gospel of Web3 privacy. The recognition and awards received by Secret Network at the FinTech Tanzania 2023 further validate Secret Network Africa’s efforts in promoting Secret Network in the African market.
As we reflect on our achievements in 2023, it’s evident that we’ve successfully positioned ourselves as a leading force in advocating for privacy, education, and collaboration within the Web3 landscape.
