With its close proximity to the city centre, Christchurch Park, Ipswich’s first public park that opened in 1895, has long been adored as a gorgeous location.
The Grade II listed park opens at 7 a.m. every day and features several pleasant walks, a children’s play area, tennis courts, a table tennis table, bowling greens, and numerous ponds.
The Martyrs Memorial, the Boer War Memorial, and the Memorial to the Great War and Second World War are additional noteworthy stops.
2. Ipswich Waterfront
Ipswich’s Waterfront has grown to be a popular destination for both locals and tourists.
A pleasant afternoon stroll is made possible by the cafes, bars, and restaurants that line the shoreline, along with the boats and yachts.
More businesses are expected to move in, with Isaacs building a plant-based café and a new bar perhaps opening where a gym once stood.
3. Ipswich Transport Museum
The largest collection of transportation-related artefacts in Britain devoted to a single town was on display at Ipswich Transport Museum’s first open day of the year last month.
It will be open every day next week from 1pm to 4pm, excluding Saturday, and from 11am to 4pm on Sunday. Pre-booking is not necessary.
4. Christchurch Mansion
In its 450 years, Christchurch Mansion has undergone changes, incorporating Tudor, Georgian, and Victorian architectural styles.
