Syn City
Syn City is a first of its kind degen mafia metaverse, powered by NFT and blockchain technology, where players loot, fight, build and ultimately lead a booming criminal enterprise, reaping the rewards of their virtual life of crime through the game’s play-to-earn model.
Syn City is the most anticipated metaverse/blockchain game launch of the new year and recently closed an $8 million funding round, securing investments from some of the most influential names in the gaming, streaming and blockchain industries.
The capital raise was led by Twitch co-founder Justin Kan and Zynga China’s co-founder Robin Chan’s Goat Capital. The who’s who list of prominent industry names also includes A&T Capital, Alex Pack’s Hack VC, Alex Becker (Superfarm) and digital asset investment giant Animoca Brands along with Spartan Group, Project Galaxy, iAngels, Jordan Momtazi (Synthetix), Do Kwon (Terra), Luke Wagman (CMC), Elliot Wainman, Paul Menshov (Coinlist), Kieran Warwick (Illuvium), and Santiago R Santos.
Gameplay
- Free-to-Play/Play-to-Earn
Players will be able to start playing Syn City for free, being required to only pay the fee for minting their character NFTs (A crew of 4 NFT characters is needed to battle). Once participants or ‘Synners,’ as gamers are referred to in the Syn City metaverse, have assembled a team of degenerates, they’ll be able to begin participating in the game, joining a syndicate and engaging in PvE and PvP battles.
By joining a syndicate, Synners will be able to ‘grind’ it out, working their way to the top through daily missions, participating in leaderboard and syndicate events and battles and earning reputation and assets while building a ruthless crew and adding valuable allies along the way.
- Turf and Businesses
Gamers will have the option of owning Turf (real estate) and acquiring business licenses in Syn City, which allows them to enhance their in-game abilities, experience and earnings. The level of the Turf will determine the number and type of businesses that can be built on it.
Players will be able to establish a base for their own syndicate, build their businesses, rent space, collect taxes, and loot and raid to take over other syndicates’ businesses and resources, leveling up their empire to achieve their nefarious goals.
The higher the level of a syndicate, the more businesses it will be able to support, increasing revenue and earnings for its members. Syndicates will have the ability to coordinate large strategic global attacks to take over their rivals’ resources, and even entire cities.
Through strategy, dedication and ambition, a player will be able to work their way to the top by strengthening, building and leading their syndicate, possibly even achieving enough influence and power to get a seat at the High Table. The High Table is reserved for the seven most powerful syndicates in the Syn City Metaverse.
- Syndicate Protocol
The Syndicate Protocol is the Syn City metaverse’s foundational Layer 3. Along with the current and future game features (Casinos, churches, farms, etc.) and assets, community developers will also be able to build GameFi products and modules in Syn City, contributing to an ever-expanding metaverse while adding further utilities and earning potential to existing game assets.
- NFTs: Characters, Weapons, Land, etc.
Syn City will feature NFT characters, weapons, lands and businesses, along with other in-game assets.
Players will have full ownership of their assets, along with options to level up and upgrade characters, turfs, etc. Through gacha, participation in gameplay, staking and purchasing items and other upgrades from the Syn City NFT marketplace, Synners will be able to boost their crew, syndicate and other assets to expedite their endeavor to the top of the virtual criminal underworld.
- Early Limited Edition High Value NFTs
Syn City’s recent limited edition Blueprint INO on Binance NFT is one of the top collections of all-time on the platform, by trade volume (currently number 2, closing in on the number 1 spot). Blueprint NFTs offer holders unique and valuable incentives and earning potential as the foundational in-game mafia character assets.
The SYN PASS is a very limited edition OG Genesis Key to the entire Syn City metaverse that offers holders countless unique incentives and benefits, from airdrops, whitelisting, early access to information, etc. There will only be 888 SYN PASS NFTs, with 800 available to community members, through participation in alternative reality games (ARG) in a 4 stage scenario. 2 stages have been completed. 80 SYN PASSes are allocated to other community events.
Play-to-Earn and Game Modes
Syn City will provide participants with a variety of different options to participate and earn in its metaverse economy.
Synners will be able to participate in PvP syndicate and special event battles, daily and other special PvE challenges, rent land and assets to other players and sell earned and leveled-up game assets on the marketplace.
The initial battle modes will feature a card-style battle, where players will be able to deploy their chosen crew, facing off against the AI assigned by the defending participant.
Marketplace
The Syn City Marketplace is where Synners from all regions of the mafia metaverse will go to acquire, level up, lend, borrow or sell in-game assets, from crews, weapons, to bases, businesses, turfs and other resources required to increase their in-game clout and earning potential. The decentralized marketplace will be a vital part of Syn City’s metaverse economy.
Token and IGO Facts

$SYN is Syn City’s native token and will function as a governance token, along with staking utilities.
