In the old days before the internet and even before photography the only way to know what a certain animal looked like was by looking at drawings of these animals.
And some of the artists had never even seen the animals themselves. The only way to draw them was by interpreting written descriptions. Essentially text-prompts.
Unsurprisingly some of these drawings looked nothing like the animals they were supposed to depict. But back in the day, it was the only way to visualize these far-away creatures.
