Do This to Get Things Done in Time For 2023
Stop reading all the recaps of others' 2022, and finish up yours with a pat on the back.
Yes, there are still some days left this year, so this is the best (and the only) time to finish up some things that you promised to do, but didn't.
If you've wanted to go to the hairdresser, but can't make it on time for New Years' eve, do not worry. Plan some extra time for your makeover during the day before the celebration and make the call NOW for your appointment in January.
Now, I don’t want to waste your precious time anymore, so here is my plan for the next three and a half days that the wonderful 2022 is still offering. Write your plan in the same manner. The most important thing is not to think. Scribble your must-do things on paper or wherever and divide them so each day you accomplish something from the list. There is no time for sorrow, we’ve got what we’ve got, so let’s make the most of it now, starting this moment. We’ve got this!
December 28:
- Journaling — write down all the highlights and learnings of 2022. What have you changed? What borders have you set? Have you stood up for yourself? Did you make some of your dreams come true?
- Letters for the people in my past (that I won't send) — my therapist suggested that I write a letter to the people who have hurt me in the past. Not thinking about their feelings, just from my perspective, so I could find a conclusion for relationships that have ended. We will never know what they thought or think right now, but we have to find peace to go on with our lives.
December 29:
- Do the laundry — don't start the year with dirty laundry all over your apartment.
- Tidy up — clean my room, put away all the summer stuff, put things in their places, and donate some stuff I don't use. Clean up shoes, wash makeup brushes, etc.
- Take care of myself — all the shower stuff, fake tan, start reading a book.
December 30:
- Make all the appointments — I should've made some doctors' appointments, but I didn't, so I will mindlessly make all the calls on my list. This way I will start my 2023 with ease because all the appointments will be made by my past self.
- Sign up for my driving exam — I've been putting this off forever, but I don't want to take this task with me into the next year, so this is the time to make the call.
- Finish all the tasks early, so there is time for tidying up my work email and other files.
- Pay off debts — the small ones to friends and family.
December 31:
- Go to the gym in the morning — for the first time this month.
- Help with the New Year's dinner.
- Wait for the magical 2023!
Happy New Year!
Gnight
