An 1:4 scale model of the desk was produced to convey the design more directly and visually. In the prototyping phase, design details in manufacturing aspect was considered more thoroughly.
The process of the model making is:
- laser cut wood desktop
- laser cut acrylic desk legs
- laser cut wood whiteboard frames
- laser cut & engrave acrylic charging outlet station
- 3D print whiteboard joint
- cut whiteboard film
- glue whiteboard film onto the frame
- thermoform acrylic desk leg
- paint desk leg
- attach cork glide
- glue all parts together
