We are setting up a one of a kind co-learning space.

Join us in our journey to shape the future of education.

We’re a community of eclectic individuals — students, researchers, educators, professionals and parents who want to encourage exploratory and experiential learning.

To bring our ideas to life, we are partnering with Mushtifund Saunstha. Their heritage space built around the 1920s in Fontainhas, Panaji is in the process of being converted into a co-learning space, to provide an environment for lifelong learning.

We wish to give rise to independent thinkers and problem solvers who focus on collaboration, curiosity, interdisciplinarity, open-mindedness & empathy.

The journey of every individual would be catered to their needs, with no preset curriculum or syllabus. We believe that learners — be it students or working professionals deserve a space to socialize and bond over their academic interests.

To foster conversations, debates, experiments and creations, we have the following spaces —

  • Science & Math
  • Social Sciences & Humanities
  • Electronics
  • Programming
  • Prototyping and Mechanics
  • Media & Design

These spaces along with the seminar hall will house talks, seminars, workshops and hackathons. Add to it, we’d be offering dedicated coworking seats.

What is a colearning space?

Today, makerspaces / hackerspaces / coworking spaces are rather common. Unfortunately, they all seem to have a tech, freelancing and entrepreneurial focus.

A colearning space not only contains tech stuff, but also spans the entire breadth of human knowledge — including the sciences, humanities and the social sciences.

Our mentors, members, events, layout, pricing and amenities would be focused towards encouraging learning as wide and deep as our community can go.

Who is the target audience?

The rigidity of formal education prevents school and college students from focusing on what matters the most to them. We want to remove these barriers, through workshops and explorations while ensuring that no academic discipline traumatizes students.

Recent graduates and working professionals find it hard to fit into a job market which has ever changing demands — we provide them with an opportunity to upskill.

Adults are not expected to ‘learn’ once they obtain a degree. We wish to challenge that notion by providing for interesting and meaningful avenues to learn and socialise.

So, how would things roll?

From undertaking archaeological adventures to 3D printing a gift, from discussing black holes, Freud and cancer cures to building that game app that you wanted to. We’ll ensure that there’s no end to the process of learning.

We’d have community sessions for discussing MOOCs, our learnings for the week, networking, mentoring all peppered with subject themed gatherings, talks and events!

In a bid to help the underprivileged, scholarships would give them access to our activities. We would also be creating a platform to connect enthusiastic volunteers and interns with non profit organisations as well as commercial outfits.

We’ve got an ambitious dream of instituting fellowships to house researchers, and we are on the lookout for corporate funding to make that possible.

Plans all around.

To make our vision see the light of the day, we need people from diverse backgrounds to help us out in mapping every academic discipline under the sun.

One can also help in by providing scholarships to the underprivileged.

In addition to the same, we are in need of equipment to start off in the science and social science spaces. Help us by crowdfunding the following equipment / services.

Donors can avail of access to the space and activities through tokens matching the value of ones’s donations.

These tokens can also be redeemed through scholarships provided to deserving students from low income schools.
