We have talked about productivity and routines a lot on Seeking Wisdom, and nothing kills both of those things more than travel (especially when we have to travel for work).

Travel can slow you down, throw you off, and mess with your daily habits. It’s not good.

So, how can you overcome that?

Here’s a few ways that we stay on point, and remain productive, when traveling…

  1. Always arrive early.
  2. Don’t give up on your routines.
  3. Pack light. You’re not going to the jungle. If you need something, you can go to Walgreens.
  4. Avoid red eyes (but if you can’t, dress warm, bring headphones and come prepared to sleep).
  5. Not on a red eye? Do work on the plane. This is your time to be productive.
  6. Always choose an Airbnb over a hotel.
  7. Make time for family.
