To quote Shakespeare, “April hath put a spirit of youth in everything.” In line with the spirit of this time of year — new beginnings and hope — Seele certainly imbued our community members with a sense of hope and vociferous expectations in the month of April. Regardless of the angle in which you examine our ambitious venture — be it from an ecosystem construction, a technological advancement, or a community development standpoint — Seele made impressive progress and gains. We’d like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all of our supporters for their contributions and for continuing to believe in our vision. Below is a summary of some of Seele’s accomplishments during the past month.
1. To further our efforts in enhancing Seele’s global presence and operations, we kicked off our global roadshow — Seele Intercontinental Appraisal (SIA). The warm-up event in San Francisco on April 28, 2018 was a great success. Our team members also announced the following good news at our SF meetup.
a) In terms of ecosystem advancements, we initiated a blockchain-based graph-computing research project with the University of Edinburgh, implemented distributed computing with Beihang University (China), a key national-level laboratory for software development, and secured a partnership with Moorfields, the world’s best ophthalmic research institute, to test the feasibility and safety of blockchain-based clinical trials in the medical sector.
b) In terms of technological advancements, we successfully achieved 3000 TPS in an experimental environment. Also, we accomplished simple transaction and transfer function, and adopted the advanced-transfer protocol to realize the downloading and synchronization of node information to the p2p network. Configuration was refined, and more configuration info & settings were added to the log. Our team focused on the development of smart contracts and virtual machines, which will be open-source later on, as well as improving the security and efficiency of our neural-consensus algorithm in a large-scale node environment.
2. It is worth mentioning that on April 5th, 2018 at 14:05 UTC, Seele officially completed its public sale & successfully raised 5000 ETH. Only investors who had passed our whitelist and KYC were allowed to contribute funds to Seele.
3. Our team also launched an updated official website on April 10th, 2018 to provide essential and up-to-date information. Due to the tight turnaround, Seele’s team members worked around the clock to ensure the new website launched on time. We were delighted to discover that the website garnered much attention from our supporters. Various suggestions were submitted to our team. To provide a better experience for our supporters, our team members immediately worked on optimization and made the website more mobile-friendly.
4. As news of our project permeated the cryptocurrency space, Seele attracted substantial interest from the general public. In order to share the truth with the general public and unpack the recent FUD, Seele’s core team members accepted interview invitations from several media outlets. For example, Dr. Maolin Zheng, the CEO of Seele, participated in a live-stream interview after receiving an invitation from BitcoinWorld.
In summary, Seele made great strides and attained many achievements in the month of April, providing another strong layer of foundation for future growth. Our team members will continue to exert ourselves in a manner that reflects our utmost sincerity and look forward to meeting more of our supporters in our upcoming events — SIA.
