October is a symphony of permanence and change. In the past month, Seele never ceased the pursuit of its grand vision and scored remarkable progress. Following Seele’s roadmap, our mainnet will be launched in this quarter, which marks a critical stage for technological development. Numerous important features were successfully accomplished, and large-volume performance tests and optimization were conducted. We also updated technical documents for the convenience of users. Besides, we secured advancements in industrial cooperation and community construction. We are grateful and want to express our appreciation to all participants and supporters.
Now, with only two months left of 2018, momentum is building up here at Seele. We have been working hard to meet our proposed goals and progressing rapidly. The most notable development achievements of this month include that we carried out a new round testing of all the function, performance and safety under WAN multi-data center environment. Additionally, to ensure easier understanding and use for existing user categories, we have completed the development of the internal preview version of the Seele-Wallet (PC-based) which integrated the essential functions including account creation, balance query, and transaction transfer.
Seele tech team has also kept completing the milestones. The development and optimization of the mainnet are still going on. The following features are already achieved:
- Upgraded RPC to redeploy and debug the API environment for Seele Scan
- Optimized the function of transaction pool and hash-time lock to solve chain forking
- Optimized the light node to support multiple shards, completed the test of the light node and full node
- Added MinerAlgorithm and CreateTimestamp function to subchain system contract
- Added debt module front-end display for Seele Scan
- Added the transaction gas limit to optimize the function and performance of cross-shard transfer
- Solved the connectivity issues between multi-nodes
As an open-source and inclusive platform, we encourage users to build their own nodes after the launch of Seele mainnet. After optimizing the format and layout, we have launched the new version of WIKI on Github for developers, anyone interested in can refer to https://seeleteam.github.io/seele-doc/. To improve coding efficiency and make it easier for the users, we added seele.js interface module for developers on the basis of command interface and RPC API. After months of efforts, Seele scored substantial progress in the medical field. Seele team and OpenClinical, a leading medical technology team led by Prof. John Fox, signed a cooperation agreement to promote medical research and accelerate large-scale blockchain applications in the healthcare area.
In addition, Seele always attaches great importance on our investors and community. Dr. Wei Bi conducted an AMA to answer investors’ questions and doubts in regard to mainnet features, ecological cooperation, technological progress, and team status, etc. Moreover, Seele established Russian, Turkish and Indian telegram groups to enable more investors around the world to get the latest information about Seele. More importantly, Maolin Zheng would personally carry out the construction of the global ecology during the Seele mainnet launching period. Dr. Wei Bi, our Chief Scientist, would be assisting in any related work. Any updates and future planning related to Seele’s ecosystem would be based on the announcement from Dr. Maolin Zheng through Seele official information release channels.
Seele always puts emphasis on its overall development, since its noble mission couldn’t be accomplished by technological development or ecological construction alone. Although the achievements make us inexpressibly excited and grateful, we are clear that the road ahead for us is arduous. However, we firmly believe that the future will be even better with our unremitting efforts and the unwavering support of our loyal investors.
