What’s new in this release?

Applications

Seerene helps application managers and engineering leaders monitor their portfolio to ensure that development teams are as productive as possible.

  • Application portfolio analysis: Organize your application into segments such as new vs. legacy, or internal vs. external. This lets you quickly see big-picture trends and better understand what’s slowing teams down.
  • Application detail pages: The performance and usability on these pages has been dramatically improved, and the new charting engine is amazing.
  • Compare applications: Pick two applications to see how their trend lines match up. Seerene highlights key attributes for each application so you can see if there’s really an apples-to-apples comparison.

Projects

PMOs and product managers often think in terms of projects and milestones. Seerene provides them with data and tools to support their workflows.

  • Project portfolio analysis: You want to quickly identify what’s slow, inefficient, or at risk in your projects. Seerene surfaces those insights so you can discuss solutions with your engineering team and software architect.
  • Project KPIs: Seerene lets you identify the set of applications or code units that make up a project. This way you can keep tabs on quality KPIs, development effort, team churn, and other metrics that might influence the project’s success.
  • Project milestones: Enter key milestones and compare them to development activity to ensure that teams aren’t waiting until the last minute or extending work beyond deadlines.

Software Maps

Visualize your entire application landscape and understand root causes. Seerene offers dozens of KPIs that can be plotted onto software maps.

  • Maps: You can easily look across applications with thousands of code units to identify complexity, missing documentation, and knowledge monopolies. And they’re about to get a lot more powerful with activity charts, tags, and filters.
