Lab Three: Data Visualization

Going off from my newsbeat, my Google Trend chart is comparing Instagram to fitness. Instagram had skyrocketed in 2012—since that was when Facebook bought Instagram for $1 billion—whereas fitness had peaked at the beginning of each year and decreased as each year went on. Fitness had increased slightly between 2010–2012 near the same time Instagram peaked, though I don’t find much of a correlation between the peak of Instagram and fitness.

Neither chart is more than the other—both are the same chart. Though the pie chart for test 1 is probably more preferred because people want to see larger numbers in comparison to smaller numbers. In addition, whole numbers are simply easier to read than numbers with decimals.

This chart compares the best and worst quarterback in the NFL for 2018.
