It’s been an incredible year of development and studio growth for the team here at Seismic Games! We’ve collaborated with Marvel and FoxNext on a successful release of the fan-favorite ‘MARVEL Strikeforce’ game on mobile, and recently launched the highly critically-acclaimed ‘Blade Runner: Revelations’ VR experience with Alcon Interactive and Google Daydream. We’ve also been cooking up a couple of new licensed IP projects that we can’t wait to share with everyone as well. And there’s more to come…

Following this very busy period, we’re thrilled to confirm today that we have just been acquired by the amazing folks at Niantic (Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, Pokémon GO, and Ingress). As visionaries in the mobile entertainment and Augmented Reality (AR) field, John Hanke and his team have redefined what’s possible in uniting global communities through universally engaging and surprising gameplay experiences. We cannot wait to closely work with them on exciting new projects that will add depth to their narrative-driven releases and to help evolve the Niantic Real World Platform.

As we embark on this next chapter, we would like to thank our dedicated team members, for all of their hard work, while thanking family and friends for the support and encouragement that we’ve received since Seismic’s inception in 2011…. We wouldn’t be here without you, and we are excited to have you by our side as we enter this new iteration of our studio.

Here is a little more information from Niantic, Inc.on what’s next:
