What is physical self care?

Physical self care is the provision of what is necessary for your body’s health, welfare, maintenance and protection. In other words, physical self care is the most straightforward step of self care there is, you want to make sure that your body is well-nourished and happy. This definition could have a wide variation of ways you can achieve your desired physicality. This step is achieved differently whether it be because of schedules, occupation, location, etc.

The 3 basic aspects of physical self care

  • Good nutrition
  • Recovery time (rest & sleep)
  • Necessary exercise

There are other ways to approach physical self care depending on your preferences and state of health, some good examples are :

  • Meditation
  • Baths
  • Breathing exercises
  • Massages
  • Physiotherapy
  • Extra sleep

A way to approach physical self care is to improve little by little. The human body is connected to work all together, so only fixing one problem won’t do much good. Given the fact that we only have one body and that it is your means to do and experience absolutely anything in the world, you want to make sure it functions as well as possible.
