Future Volvo

Volvo released a concept car called the “Concept 26” . Similar to the Mercedes-Benz concept car, Volvo has designed a self driving car interior for autonomous driving.

The Concept 26 interior has 3 modes: “relax,” “drive” and “create”. These modes are designed to make time in the car as meaningful as possible. Whether the driver chooses to drive, or delegate driving to the car, the interior transforms to create the perfect environment.

In “drive” mode, the car minimizes distractions, so the driver can focus on the joy of the road. In “relax” mode, the seat is reclined so that the driver can enjoy restful bliss. In “create” mode, the seat moves away from the steering wheel, giving the driver space to make calls or write. This mode also allows the driver to watch TV on a screen attached to the dashboard.

Volvo plans more features when autonomous vehicles hit the market.
