Is there any “best” way to meditation?

Is there any particular school of meditation that works best? Do we all need some guru that leads us through the meditation process? Or do we need 10 step guides to meditation practice including some breathing exercise? Do we need to go to Tibet or Japan? Stay in cave for years?

Is there anything like doing meditation? Is meditation some isolated event in daily life? Or flows through every activity when the reality is realized?

Isn’t there an issue with following a certain practice, meditation teaching, guru, chanting mantras or whatever else? Isn’t that clinging to repetition?

Is repetition leading to dulling your mind? And so can create some illusionary state? State we want to go when things don’t work in “real” life?

Is meditation about controlling your thoughts or facing your problems like they arise? Is thinking about silencing yourself never ending fight?

Is there any goal in meditation?

Do we meditate to get rid of problems?

All this is questioned in the following talk by Jiddu Krishnamurti and it would be unwise of me to give you any answers. As you need to find your own answers, your own realisations. I highly recommend to watch the whole video, it may help you understand what meditation means.
