Longing

It begins with a Dance — A poem

Have you ever tried telling your special Someone how much they mean to you? How devastating their absence has been? Have you ever been at loss for words before them?

In lust much like in love, what you show matters much more than what you say

It begins with a Dance

Oh you, hide that crooked smile before I bit it off your lips!
before we both drown…

I have never felt like this with anyone else
I swear it;
like a tsunami crashing through my veins,
watching you dance is…

Somebody please help!

There are curves and sexy
and then there is you.
I am stiff and clumsy,
You are sensual and raw.

As I stumble on the dance-floor zero-ing in on your smile,
I know to not draw closer;
we are in the open after all.

Heave o Heave o Here we go —
Back and forth all night long, our strange duo.

Dawn draws closer and I know what it means;
Soon this will end, I’ll have to wait… again.
If only there was a way to let you see my mind,
you’d call me crazy but I’ll be free.

So here in this confined space among the crowd
I hope my finger burns your thigh because I can’t go any further.
Read in that touch all I couldn’t say tonight
That it keeps you company until our time is due…
