Tears from the Son of the Soil

My land, my heritage
Here I stand, crying blood and iron
For no one cares about my tears
With drying seas, rising waters
Man, brave enough to deny climate change
Oh! Man.

Man’s preference for wealth over happiness
Money, above good character
and fame above family happiness is
all the reason for this shortened life of ours.

For man has dealt with himself so treacherously like a coward
With such an enmity entrenched, unimaginably enduring generations
In the name of acquired wealth less needed
At the grave we are tearfully scooted and buried without it all.

What continence has shown our true character?
Well hidden and polished all these years
With just a taste of power and rulership
What load of innocence craved in lonely meanders?
What severity sensitivity dead to?
With feelings emotionally lost in carves
With painful endeavors yielding nothing more than shame
We are severe to instinct freedom .

Man, oh Man!
Transformed to a mere savage
Blindly leading
Hearing little or nothing
As the noise from the people so loud to help you think.

Years ago, me and my household
We protected this forest and land
We provided reserve even for the animals
But this new call for wealth storage
Bountifully piled for no use
Will beautifully perish with us all.

What madness has mankind called upon the earth!
That our own wisdom should make us extinct
Rapidly and blindly
While billions remain to later nourish the earth
After we have long gone
Happy though
As the remnant of trees will enjoy at last.

In the abundance of plenty
We are lacking like never before
With trillions save to the future of the unknown
While the known stride
Surviving only to endure the carnage with unwanted pain
Barely left to rot and return no more
The earth is a bad place !
And man’s wisdom solely responsible!
