My 1st Year on Medium: Earnings, Bonuses, and Tricks No One Talks About

A year ago, I did not believe I could write stories that inspire and get paid for them. However, 12 months in isolation opened new horizons and possibilities, and I will never be the same office nerd as I used to be.
If I had to summarize my achievements from the first year on Medium, it would be this:
- Published over 125 stories
- Gained over 1.8k followers
- Earned $5267.4 in total by May 2021
- Received $500 bonus from Medium in April 2021
- Gained one client who found me via my stories
I always judge my achievements by comparing my wins to the best Medium performers. I am not among the top writers yet, but I am grateful for being among 1000 writers whose stories stand out.
A community of avid readers is just one of the greatest values Medium has to offer. I also met incredible, like-minded creators who changed how I see myself and the world around me.
