Prompt Topic — The richest person you have personally met.
Note, this is the richest person you have “personally” met. You shook hands with or had lunch with or said hello to them, not just someone seen on TV or a stage at a PR event or your company CEO onstage at the annual TownHall.
Response — Infosys CEO
The richest person I’ve ever met is Narayana Murthy, the former CEO of Infosys. His wife Sudha Murthy is an accomplished author and community leader in her own right. Even if you’ve never heard of Mr. Murthy, you might know him as the father-in-law of Rishi Sunak, the recently elected Prime Minister of England.
Narayan Murthy is on my list of admired leaders because he was one of the founders of Infosys, which put India on the map as a global IT leader. My first job out of college was at Infosys too, so a little biased.
